Cosplay Costume Ideas: Hellsing

Planning on attending an anime convention but just don't have any idea what you're going to dress up as? Why not go as one of your favorite characters from the vampire anime flick Hellsing!

With three awesome anime characters like Alucard, Seras Victoria, and Sir Integra, Hellsing makes for a very fun and creative anime to cosplay with. In this hub, I will provide you with ideas on how to dress like these three characters as well as where to buy cosplay gear for your costume.

Alucard is an extremely powerful vampire who works for Sir Interga Hellsing in the fight to eliminate the threat of evil caused by other vampires and evil beings. Alucard is revealed to be Count Dracula (note that Alucard is Dracula spelled backwards). It is later found out that Sir Integra's ancestor, Van Hellsing, had gained control over Dracula, renamed him Alucard, and turned him into a servant for the Hellsing family.

For cosplay purposes, Alucard is extremely noticeable due to the red duster and hat that he prefers to wear. His style is a combination of Victorian and Western. Alucard's look is very easy to pull off, so long as you can gain access to a red long coat (trench, duster, etc.) and a red wide brimmed hat (preferably a Fedora or something of that style).

Alucard is also seen wearing wire glasses. However, the glasses are not absolutely necessary if you cannot find any. He is also seen wearing a red cravat, which is essentially a 16th century neck tie. If you can manage to get a red neck tie that will do just fine. He is also seen having long, black hair.

Also, don't forget the vamp teeth!

Seras Victoria was originally a human police officer at the beginning of the series. However, early in the series she is shot and nearly dies, until Alucard offers to turn her into a vampire, which she accepts.

For cosplay, Seras Victoria has a very tomboy look, yet she still looks very cute and feminine. She is usually depicted in a blue "police" suit and black combat boots. The suit is very tight on her and looks nothing like an American police officer suit. Her suit resembles more of a naughty Catholic school girl uniform than it does a police uniform, making this costume not for the shy or overly modest.

She is also seen with short, ginger hair and red eyes whenever she's in her "vampire" state. To pull off the look with her hairstyle, try going for a punk pixie cut or wig. The hair color is a very light ginger, almost a strawberry blond.

Seras Victoria is also usually seen wearing black stockings and white gloves with her uniform. The stockings should be knee high or thigh high, either style will do.

Like with Alucard, don't forget her vamp teeth!

Sir Integra is the young leader of the Hellsing organization and the vampire Alucard's master. She gained control over the family business upon the death of her father and is the last remaining member of the Hellsing family.

Sir Integra is appealing for cosplay because of her strong and yet feminine personality. Her look emulates that of Diane Keaton's character in Annie Hall. Think of a feminine twist on a professional male business suit look and you have the look of Sir Integra.

When creating your cosplay look of Sir Integra, be sure to wear large glasses, preferably frame-less ones to pull off her look. Sir Integra is also noted for having long blond hair that is straightened.

Another key piece to her outfit is that she is seen wearing a blue ascot with a cross penned to it. Her suit is also an olive green, but if you can't find one that's green any suit should do so long as you have the hair and ascot down.
