Biography
The daughter of a US Marine, Ashley had aspirations of being a model. However, when she realized she was too short to be considered for serious modeling roles, she moved on to a dream of becoming an actress.
After struggling to find a legitimate role in Hollywood, she eventually landed the role of a lifetime. She auditioned for roles in the film Twilight. Ashley initially auditioned for the role of Bella, but she and the casting agents agreed that the role was not for her. Instead, she opted to audition for the role of Alice Cullen, in which she won the part.
Since starring in the Twilight Saga films, Ashley has risen in popularity and has become something of a sex symbol. Embodying the "Girl Next Door" look, Ashley makes simple and semi-modest look sexy.

Yeah...I like her better than kristen, though for me...kristen can act more professionally. She can act as a virgin mary, to a trollop....I admire Ashly, but I too respect Kristen.

Hi, I can't stand that girl who plays bella, she is a wooden as a bit of old cardboard! maybe if this girl hade played her part it might have brought a bit of believability to it! lol!

I like this actress. I saw a vid of her on YouTube as a kid doing a show on Broadway (I think) where she had a singing part. She's too talented for modeling, anyway! I wish she'd gotten the role of Bella, instead of Kristin Stewart. But, I read that she was considered to pretty to play the role of plain-Jane Bella who is supposed to represent Everygirl. As it is, she is my favorite actress in the movies and hers is my favorite character. I relax when she enters the story - especially at the end of the second book, which was really monotonous and depresseing, anyway. It was such a relief to see Alice. After that I like the wolf boy. I'm squarely on Team Jacob - I totally don't get the Pattinson thing. He always looks like he needs a good scrubbing to me.
